Can’t imagine that extraterrestrial aliens would be more weird than what is population our oceans.
Also, 91% of ocean species have yet to be identified, and more than 80% of the ocean is still unexplored. So who knows what bizarre friends may be lurking down there! :)

It’s true. Urchins do in fact use things like shells as hats.
And some have been dropping hat shaped prints on them for pics.
I just love (/s) how they 3D printed the hats with plastic. Give them some more plastic why don’t you?
It’s an aquarium. The plastic was probably removed after a while
I don’t know how it’s possible to feel more protected when you’re entirely made out of spikes, but OK.
Some fish are good at pulling off individual spikes one at a time.
