Happened with Taiwan. They felt like they hit a glass ceiling in the US so went back to Taiwan to start companies.

Any nation with a huge influx of cash in the span of a few decades will seemingly catch up fast. The culture of the nation tends to hold them back though

cash is tied with growth, unprecedented growth at that.

i dont see how their culture is much different from the average east asian country.
