Not a good look for the future. Anime is still a somewhat niche market outside of Asia that it’s hard to have two anime focused streaming platforms succeed. With Crunchyroll having Sony’s backing and all that it entails, hidive was always going to be second fiddle

Madhouse doing Overlord, lvl999, and Frieren in the last year or so is a pretty good run. Maybe this is the start of their comeback.
