That shit makes me so angry it’s crazy… Socialism for the corporations, “rugged individualism” for the citizens…
Republicans will scream and cry about socialism when we discuss healthcare, but gladly give corporations all the public money/wealth they could possibly want while also allowing them to charge us for the “product” they create…
I never wanted to be stuck in a cubicle in an office so I avoided those types of jobs… Now my dumb uneducated-ass self is stuck in a factory because I never figured out what I DID want to do while my friends spent maybe 4 years in a cubicle and are now all home making tons of money.
People often completely disregard the value of money. (Mostly when it comes to our wages…)
Sure it’s not a billion when referring to the old barons, but the purchasing power they held was still equivalent to billionaires of today.
