I don’t think it even makes sense financially. There’s not really a first part for people to get excited about compared to Midgar in 7. 9 is more of a full package game.

I think it made sense for 7. Midgar was the most interesting set piece and a ton of stuff happens there. But it’s only like 10% of the game.

Then you collect side characters like infinity stones and to through a bunch of their individual stories.

Then the actual story happens.

Also, 7 is popular enough to support the split up.

This doesn’t make sense for 9. Also, isn’t it supposed to be a 1 for 1 remake?

I want that controller. Also, a faceplate for my (original version) PS5 would be cool.

The most I’ve spent on a retro game is Parasite Eve for about $60. I think any game that I would spend more than that on, I already own.

I just did my yearly playthrough of Final Fantasy V, Four Job Fiesta mode. I finished on the 5th and ended up with a Ninja, Black Mage, Time Mage, and Chemist.

This was my third time playing FFV, and only my second time playing Four Job Fiesta. Now I’m back to playing Final Fantasy VIII. I don’t even know how many times I’ve played that one.

Just a reminder that grinding is tedious and is an optional part of every Final Fantasy game, often times making the games extremely simple. The only difference is how you grind.

Having said that, there are a few improvements I could think of. I’m curious what all this does and whether it takes out all the good from the original.

There’s a place near me that I was planning on eating at. Then I saw they had a “Back the Bleu” burger. They won’t get my business.
