This memory has1/4 the bandwidth of M series Mac’s. It may be possible to match current memory with 4 chips. But that would take a lot of room. And that leaves little room for growth.

My family sent me TikTok’s. I rarely use it, but have it installed for this purpose.

Those targets seem unrealistic even without driving off a core group of heavy users.

I didn’t think legal contract could contain “forever”? Which is why Disney’s contract has the death of the last living monarch.

Their terrible business practices is why I refuse to use Adobe. I have heard too many horror stories.

I am not saying you are wrong, but when I was active on Reddit I rarely checked my mail. I still have like 12k unread messages.

There is a book about extreme economies. The author discusses it here: https://www.econtalk.org/richard-davies-on-extreme-economies/

They go through how the mackerel as money came about. Also, that expired mackerel, i.e. fiat, have their own lower exchange rate.

My kids laptop has 4 IIRC. Getting a PC motherboard with more than one on rear and one connector for front of case was impossible last I looked. I generally keep my pc’s for about 5 years and wish to future proof somewhat. It is beyond ridiculous at this point. Although, I haven’t tried to buy one for a few months so perhaps this has changed.

Microsoft gave up far too easily. We should have a Windows phone.

But the better alternate to iOS did not win. Google had the funds to push Android forward, where WebOS did not.

Apple loves under ramming (to give a word a new meaning) and forcing everyone to pay for upgrades. The problem is there are always people that buy the base.

I usually agree, but in this case it sounds like they did. Ireland set a low tax to attract companies. So apple opened an office there and hired thousands of workers. And paid their taxes. But the EU did not think that was fair and demanded more after the fact.

Not at all. I realized the title was likely not clickbait. While I agree it was crafted to get clicks, the article does actually follow the title.

I thought the same until realizing it was from Vox, a typically left leaning site.

It comes down to having tires sized to carry the weight. A heavy vehicle would need tires the size of those Russian off-road vehicles to match the light Jeep. Also why light offroad vehicles like a Polaris side-by-side are so popular now with people that drive trails. And why you would never want to take those lifted full-sized trucks off road even though they are popular on the highway.

These are similar to tornado shelters in the US. Several of my neighbors have them.

They even make some that are basically a porch and steps with a hatch to open and climb in.

They are also common with cheap housing like trailer houses.

When is PS 6 due out? Feels late in the cycle to buy one.

Edit: rumor sites are stating 2026 at the earliest, so probably ok.

How bad do Macs slow down with encryption? Or can you even turn it off? They do have a dedicated chip, and section of chip, to handle encryption.

Too rich and probably a big donor. They will make an exception.

All pc sales are down. Other PC companies profits are terrible. Everyone stocked up for work from home and now are good.

The middle class in China is larger than the middle class in the US. The number of poor is also larger. But it is no longer a nation of poor people.

To save a penny on each connector. The USB group is ran by hardware manufacturers. They do not have innovation as a core value.

Great idea, and realize likely a joke, but wouldn’t you just need to pull the one or two that connect out to the internet?

Microsoft once bailed out Apple to show they have competition. Google financially supports Firefox so have a modicum of competition.

I am a big Apple guy, but this is not healthy. I wish Google would step up their game.

Phones are maturing. Are they upset when the new Toyota Camry is only modestly different than last years?
