Sounds like Miami, every day I look at the temperature and it’s like 82-90, feels like 100. Literally every day since like late May/early June, the weather report says “oppressive humidity, extreme caution” since it hangs around 70-85% with a dew point in the mid 70s. This isnt event record breaking either. Whenever the humidity drops down to like 60% and the temp is in the low 80s I’m like “it’s actually cool out for once” even though the real feel is like 92.
It’s been cloudy and rainy for like the past two weeks, so at least the pool is back to a cool/comfortable temperature and not like bathwater every day.
I had to mail in my state taxes for NY due to NYC regulations, which I didn’t know about since I’ve been using TurboTax for 7 years. I was only informed of this after I had filed my taxes federally using the IRS system. There is no way to just file your state taxes online, you have to do both and if you submit them a second time it just gets rejected.
It’s good that they’re doing this, but it caused a lot of headaches for me that I was unaware of.
Using this ended being a massive pain in the ass for me. I could file the federal taxes online, but after I submitted it and attempted to file my state taxes online it said I couldn’t since I lived in NYC and made more than 75k/yr and I’d have to mail them in since it’s impossible to file only your state taxes online due to the IRS’ requirements.
I haven’t used my printer in years so it was a hassle just to print out 5 pages and mail them half way across the country. It also delayed getting my refund by about a month.
This has got to be peak Apple and a solution in search of a problem. You know how to fix the “human connection” problem? Take the stupid thing off when talking to someone
It literally takes like 2 seconds to lift it up to your forehead. It’s literally no different than taking off headphones when someone is talking to you. I’ve had multiple high end earbuds and Bluetooth headphones that have had audio passthrough and while it’s great for ambient sound it’s terrible for hearing voices while also listening to something else. It’s way better just to take them out/off, talk to someone and put them back in.
I went to go see Pantera and Lamb of God on Saturday and all of the 4 sites I checked had at least a $30 fee per ticket, with zero explanation of what that fee was for. The tickets were priced from $60 on up and then once you select a ticket they slap on the $30 fee! Parking was also $45, and beer was $20.
The thing that annoys me the most is how it cares about whitespace/carriage returns. I remember back in college when I was taking a CS class, learning Python and writing the Code on a Windows PC, emailing it to myself, and then attempting to run the code on Linux. Before I learned about the carriage return conversions, I remember having to rewrite about 75 lines of code before I got it to run. 🤬
