Late stage capitalism. It’s the same in every industry, it’s just that it’s more obvious in tech.


Yeah what are people going to do when Google starts banning accounts for using ad blockers?


Streaming is going to end up exactly like cable, it feels inevitable. Adverts, package bundle deals, contracts will be the final thing where they lock you in for a “discount”.



Same thing with streaming. Enshitification ensures that all services end up in the same final state it seems.





Yeah and Apple TV, Apple Music, and care plan advertising. It’s not as in your face though.


Adverts are inevitable, these companies cannot help themselves. The temptation to double dip… A subscription from stupid saps and money from advertising. Soon the ads will creep into the other subscription tiers.

Piracy and ad blocking is the only escape.




It worked for McDonald’s and Starbucks though. If you boycott the major ones it should have some impact.




Funny for a company that relies on it’s customers working from home.



Porn and connection with others even virtual is pretty much the driver of adoption for all technology



This is Warner Bros being the bad guys, but also Sony for not refunding people. Either way it doesn’t matter consumers lose out, all the more reason to pirate.


I’ve never had ChatGPT just say “actually I don’t know the answer” it just gives me confidently correct wrong information instead.

I don’t download chrome using it. I think Edge is actually better than chrome, but I use neither. Firefox is where it’s at. I hate this assumption that everyone loves chrome.



Much like DLLs exist for compiled binary executables, could we not have modular AI training data? Then only a small chunk would need to be relearned at a time.
