Nostalgia is part of retrogaming. It’s not required but it help keep interest in a game.

You might want to try different systems and types of retro games. SNES is good but a lot prefer Sega Genesis, TG16, NES even Atari can be interesting. They all have different games. Also MAME is fun for arcade games.

I find that I play sometimes only play new games for months. Indie games is where it’s at for me. Donut DoDo on Steam comes to mind. And if you like that game try some that inspired it.

At the end of the day, just fun.

I’m an investor and you should add a hardware video encoder

It’s not that ras pi are not powerful enough, it’s more that they don’t have built in hardware encoding for h.264 and h.265. I currently use a pi4 and it “works” but I have a fancy encoding script that handles a queue. It’s not perfect and spoilers the CPU when processing. And I died a little when I read that the new pi doesn’t have it either. So in sort, make sure the video card\chip can encode and decode video and audio.

Apple is good at making existing tech usable by people who don’t have time to bother learning the new tech.

I want an EV but the only affordable option is Chevy and somewhat the Nissan Leaf. Every other option is way to expensive. If my current car died, I guess I would buy one of them. But I’m going to drive it into ground or until sometime else affordable comes along.
