I bought my soldering station with air solderer and iron solderer for about 40$ from AliExpress, the ones with IR bottom heater cost around 90-100$

I think amd is worth it’s money tho, they scale their price to match their nvidia counterparts performance wise, i mean 7900xtx worth just as much as 4080 and performs as such but have more memory and is a better match for Linux gaming

China reverse engineering EVERYTHING if you think they can’t, you clearly don’t see previous history, they aren’t fast but they WILL do it eventually, if there’s enough motivation (sanctions or/and profit)

Yeah probably, thank you for replying,i flashed openwrt to one of my routers today, in this weekend I’m gonna install mullvad on it, will send you pm about how it worked out

It got downvoted to hell for some reason, in that comment i wrote, yes, that i bought mullvad with monero and it has internal adblocker, their internal dns to be precise. Edit: i can send you dm about my progress with router modding when it’ll be done if you’re interested

Yes, you can install vpn to router however, i did not tried yet, I’ve tried to share calyx vpn and it refused to, but i think with mullvad it’s going to be okay since they have official guides how to https://mullvad.net/en/help/openwrt-routers-and-mullvad-vpn , I’m in the process of modding my router right now so it’s going to take some time before i can test it, it have 18.04 version of openwrt and but compiled recent version, also ram and rom chips got to be upgraded to use it properly, today i upgraded ram, but for rom chip, i gotta read memory dump and write it to new chip so I’ll do that later

If you connect with openvpn you can add their custom adblocking dns to config and block everything on pc too, better yet, install openwrt on your router and install mullvad on it though openvpn with their custom dns server, they have in app adblocker too, if you use mullvad app

They served ads before? My librewolf didn’t showed them tho

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scTjHvot3Uo To those who downvote, haven’t you learned that centralisation of services always ends horribly, remember Reddit, twitter, Google, remember why do we go to lemmy, why do we use Linux and self host services, because we wanted decentralised system that won’t enshitify as a whole, even if something goes bad, like meta’s threads, you can isolate it, yes? But if everything was centralised like in Facebook and others, could you do the same thing? Of course not, never forget folks, centralisation never goes well in the long run, but in short term it’s gonna be great if course

Yes, flash memory came a very long way, when current nodes of 3nm going to be old enough for mass producing growth memory, there’s gonna be 5tb microsd cards probably, since we’re already having 2tb ones https://www.tomsguide.com/news/the-worlds-first-2tb-microsd-card-is-here-what-you-need-to-know

Bluray disk cost 25$ for 50gb and usb flash drive cost 5$ for 64gb

Yes, see my other comment in this post, I’ve mentioned what you’ve said, however, you should know, ps3 gpu could use both vram and ram but CPU on the other hand didn’t, so it’s kinda shared actually

Gta 5 was running on 512mb shared ram in ps3 and Xbox 360

Yes, i hope so too, as for now, semiconductor lithography at home is impossible due how big and complex these machines are, so i have same opinion as you are

We have open source designs (RISCV also have GPU designs) but we don’t have manufacture power open sourced yet

While I used AMD since fx bulldozer and currently using laptop with Ryzen 7 5700u and really enjoying it, downfall of intel saddens me because they keeping the GPUs prices down, i mean, would AMD and Nvidia offer 16gb GPUs in 300$ price range if intel wouldn’t bring a770 16gb for 300$ on the table first, p.s AMD always deserved first place and still deserves it now, while intel is good as catching up player which keeping the prices down

Free market but only until someone overtakes us, then shun them to eliminate cheap merchandise so we can rig up the prices, did i understood that right?

Tim Cook trying to cater to everyone possible

Go for tumbleweed, it’s supporting wide range of architectures (including even powerpc so you can still use powerpc macs) and it’s rolling release distro on top of that

Problem is, there’s shitton of content that needs to be archived and moved from YouTube, if YouTube stops to exist then all tutorials and teaching videos and all previously produced content will be gone, people want this content, so only true solution is somehow archive all YouTube videos and move them from YouTube, until it’s done, YouTube will have monopoly, and it’s bad situation we’ve found ourselves in

I absolutely agree with you, hovewer lto-9 18tb tape costs same money 20tb hdd costs
