Hi, I’m Miss Brainfart.

I’m afraid of sharks, with the exception being blåhaj. What could that possibly mean, huh.
(That’s not a hint, I genuinely have no idea)

Lemmings can also find me @miss_brainfart:catgirl.cloud on Matrix, if they desire to do so for e2ee reasons

The specs are not worth 700€

That’s what those specs are worth if everyone who’s part of it gets compensated for their work appropriately.

Imagine the price of a Galaxy S23 if Samsung actually was fair to everyone involved.

then lose their goddamned backed-up files

Now obviously that shouldn’t happen in the first place, but if a backup disappearing is a problem for a user, then that user didn’t do their backups correctly.

But yea, fuck Google. Like, with a chainsaw. Sideways.

Oooh, I see what you mean, just found it. Would be cool if it allowed for more granular control though, so it would prompt to enable access just for the app you want to use, and not globally

Do you mean the sensors toogle that you can enable from the developer options?

Or is there actually a separate feature for this?

On that note, can phones bring proper borders back? Damn hole-punch cameras make it unnecessearly hard to cover them up

Now I’m wondering… Do modern phones still come with an instruction manual?

Because what I do notice is that some people ask How would I have known that? while never having read the instructions that came with a device.

Personally, I remove about ads incessantly because they’re not just ads anymore nowadays.

They serve double-duty as trackers, and with how easy it is for malicious actors to hijack them (and ad businesses like Google evidently not giving a fuck), they’re a genuine security concern, too.

If ads were just ads, then I’d be fine with them. But their current state is just… bad.
