Which are the times you’re most likely going to be off wifi (commuting, at an event, lunch break). Not bad if you straight up don’t have Internet at home though.

That’s not bad for the $349 a year price at all, since it also comes with unlimited hotspot. Better than what mint offers.

Jesus, if I remember correctly, usually travelled by donkey or by foot

If Jesus had access to it, he’d totally be a fixed gear bicycle cat zooming through the alleyways of Jerusalem.

So this is a company whose foundation was work from home and thus has that as it’s background culture? Yeah this is just an excuse for layoffs without paying.

In oil. Water packed sardines are disgusting.

FTC act is the most useful against this sort of behavior and only the FTC can file suit for that, not individual companies. I don’t think this could be filed as a violation of the Sherman act. See here for an overview: https://www.ftc.gov/advice-guidance/competition-guidance/guide-antitrust-laws/antitrust-laws

I’m sure Simone just effortlessly and fluidly going into a kneeling position is what you him. “This woman is a predator.”

We’re reaching the limit for photovoltaics. Really need to pour money into optical rectennas.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rectenna

What they’ve done here is use the very old existing rectenna technology and new types of nanoscale rectenna arrays to capture very low energy radio waves without an external antenna. We’re taking -20 dBm or 10 μW.

In the end, I welcome any rectenna advances because if we ever build an efficient optical rectenna it’ll blow photovoltaics out of the water by efficiency. Optical rectennas are like fusion power in just how revolutionary they would be to our energy economy.

Christ just tell Biden to make them give them to the national archives with an executive order. They’ll figure it out.

The information obtained was limited to usernames, names, email addresses, and incomplete password information of both Heritage and non-Heritage content contributors, as well as article comments and the IP address of the commenter. No Heritage systems were breached at any time, and all Heritage databases and websites remain secure, including Project 2025. The data at issue has been taken down, and additional security steps have since been taken as a precaution.

So you’re saying that there was no breach at heritage because… you gave away your users data to a contractor?

In the end you can start making a shoe that almost functions like a prosthetic. We are not animals designed to always be running, but with a few tweaks you can make that closer to be true.

This egg tastes awful.

You gotta be stupid as shit to run something like this from the US and keep a financial tail of credit card payments to you.

You also gotta be stupid as shit to actually pay 10 bux for this.

Shouldn’t have been possible in the first place.

I have yet to see a EHR that has access restrictions that would prevent this. Instead it’s just logged and if irregular enough you get to have a hostile conversation that could lead to this.

Edit:

Haim, a Dallas surgeon, previously had done some work at Texas Children’s Hospital as part of his residency. The indictment against Haim alleges that in 2023, he asked to reactivate his login there to access information on pediatric patients not under his care, including names, attending physicians and treatment codes, then turned over the information to a media contact.

Okay, that’s just dumb. Texas Children’s Hospital is going to get fucked over this. Not only did he not have admitting privileges, he didn’t even fucking remotely work there. This isn’t just a HIPPA violation, it’s straight up fraud.

Certain cultural gifting practices make these important for the rich. They buy way overpriced consumables because they can’t offer direct bribes and need to maintain face.

They pull out the bag of Cheetos and you’re ready to go though.

Juvenile black bears can be aggressive when they’re trying to make territory, but usually that just makes them dumb teenagers that are trying to scare you. It’s very easy to scare them back. Otherwise they will bluff charge you to get you to run away.

They’re appealing the denial of motion to dismiss huh? I agree that this case really doesn’t have legs but I didn’t know that was an interlocutory appeal that they could do. They’d win in summary judgement regardless.

Interesting to note here: getting preteens to confusedly call Congress with threats of self harm and questions like "what is Congress" with a push notification is not the best plan
