So… they are a non-profit (as they initially were) or a public research lab then. That would perfectly fine to say the path that they chose and so happen to make them unbelievably rich, is not viable.

They don’t have a business if they can’t legally make profit, it’s not that hard. I’m sure people who are pursing superhuman intelligence can figure out that much, if not they can ask their “AI” some help to understand.

Wrong, that’s even why I bought a SteamDeck (edited to add the most famous), PineTab2, PinePhone, and a reMarkable and use them pretty much daily.

Are there a lot of these compared to Android? No, but please do not say “nobody” when you mean “most” or “the vast majority” because by doing so you are reducing the perception of choice. Some people, like me, DO prefer plain Linux when they can. By hiding the fact that commercial solutions do exist this is helping an already dominant solution.



Same here but it’s not Firefox with its own Engine, it’s a Firefox frontend for WebKit with some of Apple’s restriction.

Did customers really forgot the ebook 1984 event or assume they’d “just” get “better”?

Honestly kind of deserved, don’t buy from Amazon! Wondering why? Read Chokepoint capitalism but TLDR their business model is monopoly and monopsony. They’re terrible.


If the goodwill they garner from that makes APPL go up because it matches the privacy expectation they are branding themselves with, they might be making even more money anyway.
