Those aren’t the best of the best but HDR should still look significantly better than SDR content.

Have you tried checking your settings to make sure things are configured correctly? Or maybe try using some of the smart tv apps and comparing HDR content on them vs content coming from an external device?

Which Samsung sets are you using? Some TVs look horrible with HDR whereas some look amazing. Since buying an LG CX I’ve been spoiled and desperate for more HDR content.

There are high quality traditional LCDs that are viable bang-for-the-buck alternatives to OLED. There are, of course, poor quality LCD screens as well (looking at you, Steam Deck).
