It’s a shame that even in a place like San Francisco, it’s apparently impossible to enact rent control.
It wasn’t until very recently that SF became synonymous with progressive politics like it is today. For most of the 20th century, it was a highly conservative, “rich people,” city. That kind of embedded wealth doesn’t just go away within a few decades, SF is still pretty conservative at its core.
I wonder what the impact of weight loss drugs will be once they hit the mainstream. Those things are just normal (but very effective) appetite suppressants. Combine 20+ years of bad PR with a real way for people to curb their very real psychological addictions to fast food and I can actually see a future where we look back on today’s fast food like we do to whatever the fuck the 1970s thought about jell-o
Remember, when they said “Never again,” they just meant “Never again shall antisemitism be tolerated.” They do not care at all about ethnic cleansings and outright celebrate the ones that protect this ideology.
Almost every western government feels guilt over the Holocaust that they’ve all bent over to protect the Israeli state against anything that could even be interpreted as possibly, maybe, being antisemitism.
Ban corporations from buying single family homes. Full stop, this should have never been allowed to have happened. Eminent domain every rental house and sell at auction to first-time homebuyers only. Then go after the landlords who are charging $2k per month for apartments that are 40 years old and entirely paid off.
Thank you

This is exactly what they do to social movements that threaten their bottom line.
Social media has put a new spin on keeping up with the Joneses.
Exposure to glorified lifestyles online has left many people, especially young adults, feeling financially inadequate, even if they’re doing relatively well, reports show.
This is a complete mockery of what dysphoria means to people . They know exactly what they’re doing by watering down and purposefully misusing “dysphoria” to mean “oh you’re actually doing great why are you so sad?” It’s sadistic.
Glad to see that the MoBo and CPU should pair without fault for the 3090. Truthfully I haven’t refreshed myself on hardware jargon since I built my PC around 2018.
you will need more RAM
That was a complete typo on my part, I meant to put x4 8GB for 32GB total.
PSU was expected, upgrading to a GPU that maxes 350W on its own. Will probably be looking into a 1000W unit on your recommendation, just for future proofing
“Weezer is a shitty corporate sell-out band” hasn’t been breaking news in like three decades. Their music video for Buddy Holly came on the Windows 95 installation disc for God’s sake
I reserved one when they were first announced, but by the time my unit was ready to purchase, it no longer appealed much to me. I spend maybe 5 hours a month gaming since I graduated from uni, so I suspect it would be sitting right next to my Index, which I also have touched in well over a year. Still, I’m glad to see that so many people are enjoying it
I’m not super big in horror games. I think the genre doesn’t really lend itself to content longer than a few hours and way too many developers think “difficult=scary” which makes horror games pretty frustrating for me. That being said, I played The Iron Lung a few months ago and really enjoyed it. Short, cheap, with a crazy unique setting and game play mechanics. It’s worth a shot if you’ve got a few bucks and an hour or two to kill.
Good thing I can avoid all those junk fees and get a better place to stay by going through AirBnB, right guys?.. right?
