Voice data doesn’t have to mean live microphone. Voice data could be when you use Siri or Google and talk to your phone to search things.

It is worth noting that most phones, whether Android or iOS, now notify users when a service accesses the microphone. On Android, a green light appears in the upper right, while on iPhone, it’s an orange light.

How come Walmart gets shit for self checkout but McDonald’s doesn’t get absolutely fucking roasted for Ai

Remember when YouTube wasn’t riddled with pests? I remember… It was a pleasant experience.

I’d like to share my initial opinion here. “non consential Ai generated nudes” is technically a freedom, no? Like, we can bastardize our president’s, paste peoples photos on devils or other characters, why is Ai nudes where the line is drawn? The internet made photos of trump and putin kissing shirtless.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing, I had no idea. I only checked wiki, but I see that the company is still doing well and has continued to pay it’s staff well through 2023 (wiki link).

Genuinely, why is it so difficult to be a good company? There’s that one company that paid all their workers like 70k and the employees would die for the company. Loyalty means something and reinvesting in your workers builds a stronger company, no? What’s the deal? Everyone fights for pennies vs building a strong foundation in a company culture and living it.

There was this keyboard called Mon Key or KeyMon and it was a dual swype keyboard so one could use swipe gestures with both thumbs simultaneously. I loved it but support ceased and the app died.

Yes. It was. Now days most jobs offer to cover college. I want to know how they benefit because I don’t get it.

The last few incidents with the MAX series has me on edge with them. I fly planes myself (GA) and am an aviation geek. It’s only 3 incidents but it seems like they rushed the MAX out too quickly to compete with Airbus. I could be really wrong.

The MAX 8 series was the one where they had additional software to correct the climb and this caused two accidents of total loss in passenger planes Lion Air Flight 610 and Ethiopians Flight 302.

Between March 2017 and March 2019, the global fleet of 387 aircraft operated 500,000 flights and experienced two fatal crashes, having a fatal accident rate of four accidents per million flights, whereas the previous Boeing 737 generations averaged 0.2 fatal accidents per million flights.

Then we have the MAX 9 that had a door blow off because of a missing door plug. Thankfully, no deaths and only minor injuries.

Idk man, whenever I see severance pay it’s usually for at least one full year.

🤷🏽 Builds character and I make more money than what my goal was from a teenager. I wasn’t forced into it. #NoRagrets

Yeah, minimum age in the US (most states) is 14 yrs old. I wanted a job so bad when I was a kid. I grew up super poor so I never had an allowance. I got a job as soon as a could and I could buy my own things.

My own kid also got a job early, I told them they didn’t have to but they wanted to earn their own money (I was super proud of the reason). They worked for a few years, took a year or so off, then after graduating high school, bought their own car. I’m actually so proud of my kid. Kind of a smart ass sometimes but like… That’s because they’re me too. So like… 🤙

Fair. The common user uses the easiest, most accessible programs and applications. At this time, lemmy or mastodon is not common.

Make a fancy colorful app with big buttons and fun pictures and people will flock here. From what I see, the common user base here is advanced level tech people.

I read the title. Had some thoughts and opinions. After reading the article, the thoughts and opinions remain the same.

The article lists prices for next level api requests but it’s 5000 dollars compared to the 100 that the non profit is already paying. They encouraged users to download their app to receive potentially life saving alerts.

I summed up the article in three sentences.

To address the pilot pay, in my own opinion I think that flying is reasonably paid. Most entry level jobs (in my area) range between 70-90k. This is comfortable for the most part and above all common jobs.

The main issue for me is the training costs. I would still be headed towards the aviation industry if I wasn’t held back by the financial debt that I would incur.

Would light placement be better like… Idk… Lit up license places, or wheel wells, or something? I guess not because some states already allow that stuff…

Me after reading the 1st comment: “OK. True. Fair.” Me after reading the 2nd comment: “OK. True. Fair.” Me after reading the 3rd comment: “OK. Also true. Also fair.”

I like Guinness, Modelo Negra, Dragons Milk, Ol Dirty Bastard… Idk what else I’ve tried and I forget if they are stouts or porters. All hail dark beer.

I’ll give it a go. I love me some stouts and porters. Haven’t decided which I like more quite yet.

Tbh I just ended up using the snapchat Ai and it helped me with what I needed.

They updated the computers at work to W11 and they really fucked up the basic notepad app. It has tabs now and reopens my last draft instead of a new blank window.

Can you just start saying “America” that way it includes south America and Central America, also?
