It’s absolutely phenomenal for gaming or vr “experiences” (basically movies made specifically for vr). But the corpos are really hellbent on making everyone use it for meetings for some fucking reason. Which is truly the lamest, most unnecessary use of this tech.


Unless it can literally do all the cooking and clean the dishes, it ain’t worth it. I saw a video of one of these robot “chefs” where you had to preportion all the food into it, and then spend ages cleaning it out. At that point just make your own damn food.



Pay for the PRIVILEGE of not drinking contaminated water!


I used to be so excited for self driving cars, but my naive younger self assumed they’d actually make sure they’re safe before putting them on public roads.

I was wrong.



Ethical problems aside, I would not trust current AI to not make some very big mistakes lol


Same shit that happened with cryptocurrency and NFTs. Suddenly the tech illiterate c-suites realize it isn’t magically making profits go up.


You see, this is my biggest gripe with TikTok, so many people treat it like the ONLY place to get information. Just search “McDonald’s hash browns copycat recipe”.


I think it’s smart to have some emergency supplies on hand, but building a whole ass bunker like it’s gonna be Fallout is where it gets crazy. I think for a lot of these people it just becomes a hobby lol.


What I’m gathering from this thread is that too many things are named mint.


It wouldn’t be able to function as an electric car at all without a battery. Think of the battery as the EV version of the gas tank. It has to have somewhere to store its energy.


Of course, I just meant more in the hypothetical ‘this technology is safe for human use and is being widely adopted’ stage.


“think of the children” is always a poor excuse to strip away citizen freedoms. Usually never actually helps them anyways.


The biggest reason to never put anything like this in your brain is the idea that they could put ads in your brain.
