So this is the idiot we have to blame for the ugly and annoying camera bump. Sad that it seems like there is no going back to a phone with a good design. Camera bumps are awful and not worth the tradeoffs.

Ah ok. I thought they were different. I actually just listened to a podcast the other day about electric vehicles, and the guest expert mentioned something about there being a NA standard, European standard, and Tesla. Maybe I just misunderstood him.

Is that because the automotive industry decided to go with the North American standard for rapid chargers instead of Tesla’s? If so, while heartless, it makes sense from a business standpoint.

Freetube on my PC and NewPipe on my phone. The user experience isn’t as good, but no ads of any kind.

Everyone in here debating about the ethics of this situation, and here I am thinking, “What the fuck is ‘Raggaeton’?”

Keep going hackers. Do whatever it takes to take that shitty application offline for good. My division is toying with the idea of removing Slack and replacing it with MS Teams, and I dread the day the idiots making the decisions go through with it. Because of course they will.

The silhouette looks like yet another ugly hatchback/yaris style design. No thanks.

Good. Touchscreens are the most unsafe feature added to vehicles in decades. It’s honestly mind boggling how it was allowed in the first place.

New Relic is better. Datadog sucks by comparison.

My wife and I got new phones earlier this year, because her battery wasn’t holding a charge anymore. The FP5 looked awesome and had everything we wanted, but they won’t release it in the US. So we were stuck with the usual suspects. I understand why FP can’t bring all of their stuff here, but it still sucks.

Not including wireless charging IS caring about the environment. Wireless charging is extremely wasteful and inefficient.

Arizona and the entire South West don’t have a drought problem. They have an aridification problem. While this canal project is a good move in general and we should have been doing it years ago, there is no solving the over-population of a desert. One look at Colorado River basin and its reservoirs is enough to know there is nothing we can do to fix it.

Standard USB type A ports are cheaper, and more importantly, STURDIER then USB C ports. This is extremely important for peripherals that do not need to be disconnected and reconnected often.

USB C is great for convenience for certain things, but it’s a weaker port in terms of physical connection strength.

I’ve already switched to Freetube on my PC, and New.piped on my phone.

It’s a nice idea, but I’d be worried about the wear and tear on the folding screen. I can’t imagine it would hold up through the years of use I put phones through.

I thought we already knew they spun, given the incredible amount of angular momentum in their accretion disks. Seems like a “duh” thing to prove with image data that the physics data already implied.

My wife and I were planning on getting her a new car in October. I guess the first thing I will do once it’s home is pull whichever fuse is connected to the network antenna.
