At this point are there any cartridges on earth I couldn’t find a torrent of in about 2 mins on Google? They’d have to be deliberately being kept for rarity.

One way they make money. One way they’d need to spend it. It’s against capitalism to do the latter.

Capitalism is the problem. Greed is the reason. I like that shitty idiots are fighting other shitty idiots because I think it’s funny… but neither parties are good guys

What an embarrassing existence. A society that COULD feed everyone in it decides to optimize the wealth of a tiny few and let millions starve to do it. What stupid stupid animals we are.

But… How? What’s stopping people from cross posting ? Creating new subreddits that mirror closed ones?

I mean that’s a lot of effort for very little reward…

This. Clocks like this are for measuring duration in a scientific context.

Step one, be in full control of DNS on the network. Not difficult, but not simple.

Companies selling data don’t tend to be picky who they sell to. Governments and police buy data all the time.

The best part is a government can buy data and and can change the rules on what is illegal.

So, if they decide tomorrow that your innocent behavior is a threat, you’re now a criminal.

He and the shareholders still made a ton of money. They will do it again so they can make a ton more money.

He doesn’t care and never will.

I think it would prob be a population density map. Higher populations like cities tend to be better at accepting people (massively generalizing)

Yeah this map would have much smaller areas. If you broke it down into safe counties or something

We were looking… but we can’t (or won’t) enforce our power through threat or use of force. So they can take from us without fear.

It used to be a funny joke about sending them to the spice mines on Kessel… now I miss them sometimes

It took quite a few people flying through windshields and getting impaled on steering wheels before the next generation decided that seat belts were a good idea. This is pretty typical human behavior

Meh. Email was going to implode before someone came up with baysean filters and Gmail became a thing. Last time I checked (once in a blue moon), email still works.

Certainly 99.999% of SMTP traffic is garbage but my inbox is still usable.

They call “refusing to be exploited” piracy. Generally industries where there are huge monopolies like media, groceries, and other such thing are most sensitive to this because they lack the ability to deal with outside pressures any more.

Vilifying people fighting back is the cheapest way to manage this.

I’m kinda looking forward to seeing what replaces things like Netflix and Spotify
