China is number one. The USA needs to be number one. The USA wants to be China. Illuminati Confirmed.

But I don’t want to buy all new hardware! Thought MS was sustainable. Instead MS is BS.

Not sure exactly what companies store these frozen embryos, but if the company closes or you pass. How are the embryos disposed of?

Does the company need to keep them frozen and alive indefinitely? Or is it murder if they are terminated by the company? What happens if the freezers/cooler breaks? Who is responsible for the now classified murder?

Less about what comes in the box and more about what you get over the years sounds like most video games now.

Our parents told us tv would rot our brains growing up, and now we grew up and tell our parents to get off Facebook as it will rot their brains.

When I did my in floor heating in the master bathroom I went through something similar regarding the zones.

My goal was to be able to control a zone for the shower and a zone for the floor tiles everywhere else independently of one another.

Two separate lines are run in these areas under the floor to one two zone thermostat, on a dedicated line to my breaker panel. From what I found out during my process is that a two zone thermostat controls both zones at the same time.

I could not find any thermostat control panel that controls two lines independently and figured if I ever do a whole home in floor heating system each room would need its own thermostat.

Plus side to a two zone thermostat in a room is if one of the cables is cut in a remodel the other zone still functions.

Most buildings or schools will have a barrier free washroom. If you find the school you are in removed the doors in the men’s and women’s the barrier free washrooms may be a good stop gap for privacy. Or try and find the faculty washrooms if you can sneak in. Another option is the gym/athletic change rooms, most times these get overlooked.

Edit: seems people do not know what a barrier free washroom is and assume it’s a washroom with no door.

Ie. Barrier free is a wheelchair accessible washroom commonly referred to as a handicapped washroom. This is a large single room washrooms usually located between the men’s and women’s washroom or off to the side. The washroom is self contained with a door toilet and sink. These washroom are unisex.

It’s funny how this repeats every generation.

20 years back, my school removed mirrors in both the men’s and women’s washrooms, girls kept leaving lipstick on the mirrors, and the guys kept drawing on them with Sharpies.

They even removed toilet paper and hand towels because kids kept soaking it in water and throwing it up on the ceiling.

After that they even removed all the doors to the stalls in the men’s because kids kept leaving black marker “doodles” on them (ie. graffiti).

On my third year they ended up painting everything a very dark green colour. This included the walls, stalls and the ceiling to cover up all the black marker. The green made it almost impossible to make our any new graffiti added in black marker.

Aegis is a good alternative. Took a while to do the transfer as they don’t allow export of the tokens.

That’s actually not a half bad idea, thanks for that!

I am hoping someone may have the ability to scan the front and top of a utility gas meter that looks like the one above. I would like the use this scan to model a front cover similar to the one shown in this link below, but suited for this type of meter. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4845512 The purpose of this project is to hold a esp32 board to get consistent meter readings and feed them into home assistant. Here is the project below. https://github.com/jomjol/AI-on-the-edge-device Any help would be appreciated.

This is why I feel nothing ever changes in north america, people become complacent in everything thats around them and can be improved upon.

If only people would get angry and organize, but I get it we are all tired working 9-5 everyday with long commutes and paying to much for everything. At the end of the day we just want to sit down and switch off.

Giant propellers in the sky kill whales got it, but propellers underwater are fine right? Behind a large cargo ship right?

Makes sense as to why airplanes no longer use propellers as well.

This video here explains one of the issues one minute in. Definitely worth a watch.

The way car companies are working around this legislation is why it’s so hard to find and buy smaller sized cars (like smart cars) even if there is demand. It also makes our community less safe for pedestrian traffic.

As valid you point is, it also holds true for taking a Uber Pool or Robo taxi where a drunk or crackhead decided to jump in and join you, or you them.

The only difference being if it happens on a Uber Pool ride you don’t have the option of “jumping on the next one” without forking over a sum of money or canceling your trip.

Not to mention at the same time you are stuck in the same congestion caused by a inefficient (though comfortable?) mode of transportation.

It’s almost like we need to prioritize a better form of interconnected transportation that’s more efficient at moving larger amounts of people with a small foot print.

To clarify, it does not have to be a bus, but it can be a tram, train, subway, elevated rail, cable car, bike, scooter.
